Welcome to my spring home tour! Today I'm sharing fresh spring kitchen decorating ideas that are very easy for you to recreate at home.
I'd like to give a shout-out to Marty of A Stroll Thru Life for organizing this wonderful spring tour.
There are so many beautiful homes to visit, each with its own unique style. That's what I love about home tours, there's something for everyone here.
If you're visiting me from Kristin at White Arrows Home, welcome. Isn't her cabin home just amazing? I love how she uses lots of gorgeous vintage pieces in her decor every season.
You can find links to all of the other homes on the tour towards the end of this post but first, let's get started with my spring kitchen decorating ideas!

Spring kitchen decorating ideas with plants
More than any other time of the year, I love to decorate my home with plants in springtime!
If you ask me, there is nothing better, after a long cold winter than the sight of fresh spring greenery and flowers in the home.
Tiered trays can also be filled with spring plants, like violas, pansies, or mini hyacinths.
The best thing is when in bloom, hyacinths have a wonderful perfume. It's like having a scented air freshener but it's all-natural instead of chemical.
By the way, the plant pot you see above has been made to look old using an easy baking soda paint texturing method that you can find in this post.
★Tip★ The perfume from hyacinths can be a little heady so if you are prone to headaches, you should maybe give them a miss. Try Narcissus instead, their perfume is just as sweet but a little more subtle.
Spring kitchen decorating ideas with herbs
Fresh green herbs are a wonderful alternative to perfumed spring flowers.
Below, you will find a list of some of my favorite aromatic herbs to decorate your kitchen with in spring:
- Thyme
- Rosemary
- Oregano
- Dill
- Corriander/Cilantro
- Parsley
- Basil
- Peppermint
- Chives
- Sage
- Sorrel
All you need to do is run your hand over the herbs to release their aroma into the air.
You don't need an air freshener in your kitchen when you have an abundance of fresh herbs!
Whilst I was out shopping for fresh herbs, I came across some red-veined sorrel.
Sorrel is perfect for making pesto from scratch or for adding to salads and soups. I couldn't resist that fresh green color, look how stunning it looks in my spring kitchen.
Simple spring table centerpiece for everyday
Although table styling is one of my favorite ways to decorate, our kitchen table is where we eat most of our day-to-day meals so decoration has to be kept at a minimum here.
Instead, I decorate the kitchen window sill but you can read more about that below.
Decorating with Willow branches
This season, I've created a simple spring table centerpiece for everyday use.
All you need, to recreate this look, is a few pussy willow branches and a pretty vase.
Add some dried grasses to create a wispy look to the table centerpiece or just fill the vase with pussy willow branches, either will look lovely.
To add some texture to the table and 'ground' the centerpiece, you could place a large round place mat underneath the vase.
Spring table runner
I love to lay a fresh spring table runner on my kitchen table, It's one of the easiest ways to freshen up a room.
You can't see it very well in the photos but the table runner has beige and white checks and tassels in each corner made from natural twine. The tassels on the table runner mirror the tassel the wooden bunny is wearing on her ear!
Springtime window sill decorating ideas
The spring kitchen window sill decoration is easy to recreate. For spring, choose a pair of candles in pastel color tones to complement the colors in your home.
Conclusion
Make light work of spring kitchen decorating by adding a few fresh herbs or spring flowers in pots or vases.
A simple vase of willow branches or flowers is all you need to create a simple everyday spring table centerpiece.
Ditch the chemical air fresheners and choose aromatic herbs and perfumed plants and hey-presto, you have a natural air freshener to combat lingering cooking odors.
I hope my spring kitchen decorating ideas have given you some fresh inspiration for decorating your own home this spring.
