How to Use printable gift tags
To get the best results, I recommend the following:
- Download the gift tags from the free subscriber library (See below for how to do this);
- Print the gift tags on cardstock (instructions below);
- Cut out the gift tags using scissors or a paper-cutting tool;
- Attach the gift tags to your gifts with a pretty ribbon or some colorful Baker's twine.
How to use the gift tags as messages
If you want to make Mother's Day extra special this year, try using my printable gift tags as messages! Slip one inside your mother's purse or wallet so that she gets an unexpected surprise during the day. You could also attach one to her morning coffee or breakfast tray or hide them around the house for her to find throughout the day. Add a heartfelt message to the reverse of each tag to let your mother know how much she means to you.

How to Print Mother's Day Gift Tags
The cheapest option for printing your free Mother's Day gift tags will be to print them on your home printer.
What is the best cardstock to make gift tags?
For best results, I recommend using bright white cardstock or watercolor paper. These materials are sturdy and will give your gift tags a professional finish.
Best printer settings for gift tags
When it comes to printing, you want to be sure you have the best printer settings for your gift tags. Some printers allow you to adjust the print quality to ensure that the colors are vibrant and the images are sharp. Here are some tips for getting the best printing results:
- When using cardstock or watercolor paper to print your gift tags, choose the setting 'Heavy paper' if your printer has that option.
- It's also a good idea to choose the 'borderless' option if your printer has it. The 'borderless' setting will give your gift tags a clean, professional look.
- If you are using an ink-jet printer, wait around 20 seconds for the gift tags to dry before touching them. Otherwise, you might smear the ink.

What if I don't have a printer at home?
If you don't have a printer at home, don't worry! Many online printing services allow you to upload your design and have your gift tags printed and delivered to your doorstep. Make sure you choose a reputable printing service and select the correct paper type and finish for your gift tags. If in doubt, contact the printing service for advice.
