Add a pop of color
You can add a pop of color with reds and bright blues or navy, similar to the colors used in nautical décor.
Paint colors
As far as paint color goes, white, muted grays, blues, greens, and beige are all popular choices for lake house interior walls and woodwork.
Flooring
A natural wooden floor or rustic tiles are typical flooring elements for lake house decor.

You are talking to my heart. I do not live on a lake but we are near the water. When we were building this new farmhouse, I told my husband it was going to have a coastal vibe with my color choices. I find greens, blues, whites, soft grays and neutrals to be soothing. The house outside is even a soft gray green called Seagrass.
You have some great finds here. I love that hydrangea print and those coasters. 🙂

Thank you, Tammy. I love the muted coastal colors too and have used them throughout my home. I agree that a soft neutral color pallet is soothing to the eye and makes you feel relaxed and calm. I've seen pictures of your beautiful home but I never realized that the outside was painted in a seagrass color. I'm glad you liked the lakehouse decor, I'm in love with those seagrass coasters too!
