You may or may not know that I’ve been transforming my tiny office over the last few months. I strive to be eco-conscious when designing new spaces in my home which is the reason I try to upcycle furniture whenever I can, instead of buying new. My office is a bit of an exception in that it’s so small, we decided that we could make more of the space by building a custom ‘L’ shaped or ‘corner’ desk. Once the desk was in installed, it was clear I was going to need a few accessories to help me keep things organised and clutter-free! If you want to find out how to make your office more sustainable, then read on.

Here’s how to make your office more sustainable
The ‘Cohen’ lamp. This has been on my radar ever since I started renovating my tiny office. It’s made from smooth metal and wood and comes in two colours. I have the white and natural oak, desk model but there are various wall-mounted or floor-standing versions too. Let me tell you, it’s just as gorgeous in real life as it looks on the web! Mainly, I use it as a task lamp for when I’m working at my computer but it also doubles as a photography lamp when I shine it through a lightbox. The adjustable neck and stem make this lamp a flexible option for any home office.
There were two alternatives on my list which were just as gorgeous – to be honest, it was hard to choose between them all. In the end, I felt the ‘Cohen’ lamp fitted best with my office set-up. Here are the other two:
The ‘Takio’ in charcoal grey and copper is stunning.
The ‘Tyron’ table lamp in grey and copper.
Both of these lamps have a bit of an industrial vibe going on and are proof that necessities can be stylish and glamorous too.

This wooden cable organiser is a sanity saver! How often have your cables, USB cords and chargers disappeared down behind your desk? One of these stylish, space-optimizing cable holders will solve that problem once and for all. This one is handmade from natural oak. Use it horizontally or vertically or fix it to any surface with the pieces of strong, double-sided tape included. It’s finished with eco-friendly, non-toxic hard wax-oil (which is what I used, to finish my custom desk). You can find more cable organisers here.

These scented beeswax candles are made from 100% pure beeswax. Called the ‘Good Nature Candle’ they will improve your mood by emitting light that resembles sunlight! A lovely, eco-friendly product.

Add some whimsy with this unique Pencil Shaving Desk Tidy. Designed to look like a giant pencil shaving it provides ample storage for all your stationery. Playful, functional and eco-friendly, it’s the perfect accessory for any desk.
I love this monitor stand because it increases the working area on your table by keeping stationery and phones up and out of the way. Your keyboard and mouse can be stored underneath – nifty!
The great thing about this shop is that they will customise the size of the monitor stand, based on your monitor model – absolutely free of charge! Only eco-friendly materials are used and it’s available in light or dark wood.
If you don’t need a monitor stand you can still make yourself more productive by organising your desk with this stylish desk accessory. This desk organiser can be personalised so you could add your business name if you want – I love that idea.
