Gifts for men in their 20s. All you want for Christmas, at least all a teen wants for Christmas – how do I know? I asked a teen of course. This year, I decided to go straight to the source and ask what kind of gifts it would be cool to find underneath the Christmas Tree. That's a sneaky way of finding out the best gifts for men in their 20s but at least I'll know what my boys really want instead of guessing my way through the Christmas shopping and hoping I hit the mark!
Don't think this Christmas gift guide was just made up by one teen, oh no! My 19-year-old son did some market research of his own (he asked his 19 and 20-year-old friends :)) and this is what they came up with.
Here are his suggestions for the perfect 2020 gifts for men in their 20s.
Best gifts for men in their 20s
1. Bluetooth speaker
This was unanimously THE most desired gift for 2020 amongst my son and his friends. It comes in lots of colours but I'm assured that black is the 'in' colour – is black even a colour?
It's a waterproof Bluetooth speaker that you can take anywhere you want. You can stand it up or lay it down and apparently, it has an AMAZING sound – look out world!
2. American football
What can I say, boys are football crazy! For the experts out there, this one is a replica 'NFL The Duke' from Wilson.
Does that mean anything to you? Me neither but apparently it's exactly what teens want for Christmas! Who am I to argue?
3. Casio watch
This one surprised me. Who'd a thought that teens would want a retro Casio watch for Christmas in 2020? Not this girl that's for sure but there we have it. I'm told it's 'Retro Cult' and totally 'in' – what do mothers know anyway?
So glad I asked my son what's hip or I would never have known!
Not any old aftershave though! It has to be Jaguar Pace Eau De Toilette Spray for Men. You'll need to be quick if you want to get this, it seems to be selling like hotcakes – who knew? My boys, that's who!
I collected links for this aftershave a few weeks ago but now I've come to write this post and it sold out almost everywhere.
If you are quick, you might still get some Jaguar aftershave here if you are in the USA or here if you are in the EU.
5. Vans white slip-on
Even I know white casual shoes are 'in' and these Vans look soooo comfy, I might even get a pair for myself – shhh! don't tell 😉
6. Anker soundcore Bluetooth earbuds
Don't know what Bluetooth earbuds are? Well, they are wireless (handsfree) earbuds which have 'Amazing bass' and are waterproof and sweatproof – great for boys then ha!
Power-up is 16 hours before they need charging and I'm told girls love them too!
Here's where you can get Bluetooth earbuds if you are in the UK.
7. Game of thrones complete set blu-ray
Even though they've watched all of these on Sky, it seems they have a need, to go back through every detail of these episodes again! I've only seen the first episode – I know, it's sad! I have read all the books though, well, those out to date anyway.
The films follow a different story to the written word, so maybe I'll be sneaking a peek at these too! (If they make it underneath our tree of course 😉
8. Waterproof Rucksack
These are perfect for carrying everything a young person needs for university or college. Should yours are lucky enough to be able to attend university this year. Ours are not, it's all happening virtually but they do come home on weekends with their rucksacks packed full!
This rucksack has a thickly padded back and straps which makes it very comfortable to wear. There are lots of compartments, even some for smaller items so they won't get lost at the bottom of the bag – that's a pet hate for my boys.
The best thing is, it's waterproof!
Laptops, tablets, phones or books won't get wet in the rain with this rucksack.
Have you ever emptied a soggy rucksack and pegged out important papers on the washing line to dry? This girl has. Let's not go there – yuk!
Needless to say, I have to agree that this rucksack is a great idea and deserves its place on our 2020 gift guide for young adults!
Apparently, this is also waterproof. There seems to be a bit of theme going on here!
Young adults are adventurers. They want to go out into a (a corona free) world of wonders and capture it all for YouTube and Instagram! Hmm, come to think of it, I might be able to borrow this too!
9. RIFD wallet
Oh, very sensible this one! This wallet has a RFID lining which protects your credit cards and documents against all common frequencies of contactless radio chips. Credit card thieves won't stand a chance against this wallet – so important for peace of mind.
10. Army dog tags - personalized -
These are really popular with my son and his friends.
You can have them personalised in any way. For instance, with a nickname and the things a person likes best or are known for doing.
They are a young man's equivalent to friendship bracelets I suppose!
11. personalized toiletry bag
Even Mama thinks these are cool!
Even cooler is that they are on sale at the moment!
There are so many little things you have to think about when your son is leaving for college or university. Some of those little things would have a lovely home in one of these personalized toiletry bags. You have to check out the monograms, they are so lovely. There's a style to suit everyone here.
12. Steampunk cufflinks
A boy might have to attend a Ball don't you know? Boring cufflinks just wouldn't cut it......or so I'm told!
I have to admit that these cufflinks are very suave.
13. Headphone holder
You have to have a stand for your headphones these days. Headphones have reached 'cult' status and are not simply to be left lying on your desk, oh no! They have to be held in esteem and nicely displayed. Thank goodness for headphone holders like these is all that I can say.
Thank goodness these headphone holders come highly recommended 😉
14. wood headphones in-ear
What about headphones for travelling? Well, then you get these wood headphones, of course. They are noise cancelling see, and that means they block out annoying chit chat when you're sitting in the train, or waiting for the bus, or for when you need to concentrate on something before class.
Come to think of it maybe I need these noise-cancelling headphones too!
It was such a great idea to get my son to write my Christmas list haha!
15. Heat holders socks
If you think teen boys or young adults think socks are boring think again. A good thick pair of socks can be lifesavers for feet on a chilly dorm room floor!
Have you heard of Heat Keepers? Our boys got these last Christmas and I'm not surprised to see them on the list again this year. They are so snugly and warm and easily fit inside a rucksack or suitcase for travelling instead of slippers.
YOU CAN SEE THE HEAT HOLDERS SOCKS HERE.
I hope you enjoyed all our recommended Christmas gifts for men in their 20s. Let me know if you have any questions about the products listed and we'll do our best to answer them.
Happy Christmas shopping!
