If you're looking for a unique way to decorate your coffee table this spring then read on. Today, I'm sharing spring coffee table decor ideas with a DIY centerpiece. Follow my step-by-step tutorial to recreate this one-of-a-kind coffee table décor for your living room.
Spring is here and with it comes the desire for change at home. The winter décor has been stashed away and out come the bunnies and Easter eggs!
The living room is one of the first places I love to decorate because it's the room we use the most. The coffee table is the first thing you see when you enter our living room and it's usually the first place I decorate each season.

Creating a focal point in a room
It's always a great idea to have a focal point that draws the eye when you enter a room. Items like a great piece of artwork, a colorful sofa, or a fabulous-looking coffee table vignette will all serve as an anchor to bring the eye to rest on entering a room. I'm a huge fan of coffee table décor, simply because it can make a big impact but it's easy and fun to create.
Recently, I shared a photo on social media of how I decorated my coffee table for Easter this year. After sharing that post, I received quite a few DMs from people asking if I would share the DIY so I've decided to recreate it for you here on the blog. I like to include step-by-step tutorials whenever I create a holiday project like this one and the blog is always the best platform for that.
TIP: The Easter wreath hanging on the armoire in the background is another DIY and you can find the tutorial here: How to make a pretty bird's nest wreath for spring.
Easy ways to decorate for spring
Before we get to the spring coffee table decor ideas, I wanted to show you some of my favorite and easiest ways to decorate for spring. Decorating for spring and Easter doesn't need to be complicated, sometimes a simple vignette is all you need to spruce up your home for the holidays!
Making a spring vignette with fresh flowers
One of the easiest ways to add a touch of spring to your living room, or any room is by displaying fresh flowers. You could use potted plants and flowers as I used throughout my spring home tour or an arrangement of cut flowers like tulips or daffodils in a vase to add a touch of spring to your home.
The photo below shows a spring vignette I made using white tulips and a few Easter decorations like speckled eggs, a natural wood bead garland, and an Easter bunny.
Gathering décor together on a plate or tray is a great way to ground a vignette and prevents your décor from looking scattered and cluttered.

Although I love using fresh flowers to decorate my home, I also love creating unique centerpieces for the coffee table in the living room.
For my home tour last summer, I created unique coffee table décor with vases and seashells and I thought it might be fun to recreate something similar for spring. For this year's spring coffee table decor ideas, instead of sand and seashells, I'm using moss and eggshells in my vases!

Instructions for making a spring coffee table centerpiece
Step one – add moss
First, add moss to the bottom of the large cylinder vase. Leave a gap in the middle of the vase for the candle glass.
Step two – Spring candle vase
Pour décor sand into a small glass cylinder vase and place the vase into the space you made in the large cylinder vase.
Step three – Add natural eggshells
Next, make a wreath of eggshells around the small glass vase. The eggshells should sit on top of the moss. The eggshell wreath doesn't need to be a perfect circle but the open ends of the eggshells must face upwards. You'll see why in a minute.
Step four – Decorate with Easter feathers and an Easter nest
Place a feather in each of the open eggshells and put a mini Easter nest into one of the eggshells. Our coffee table centerpiece is almost ready for Easter, although we still have a little way to go yet.
Step five – Easter candle
Now, it's time to place a candle into the small cylinder vase with the décor sand. Turn the candle gently back and forth until it sits nicely in the sand.
Step six – Make a base for the coffee table centerpiece
Before adding an Easter tree to the spring coffee table centerpiece, we should decorate the base. I'm using a large round natural fiber placemat as the base for my centerpiece.
On top of the placemat, placed a stem of faux greenery. The greenery is large enough to stick out from underneath the wreath base.
Place a wreath on top of the placemat. A bare rustic wreath looks best in this type of spring centerpiece.
I tried out two different twig wreaths for this coffee table centerpiece, one which I bought and another that I made myself. You can see how I made a wreath from wild clematis vines in this Instagram Reel. It's easy to make a clematis vine wreath yourself.
Now you have a base for your spring coffee table centerpiece. Place the centerpiece into the middle of the wreath (centerpiece base).
Step seven – Make an Easter tree for your centerpiece
Place some gnarly twigs inside the large cylinder vase so that they hang out over the edge of the Easter display. Hang small Easter eggs onto the Easter tree making sure to place them well away from the candle.
Step eight – Easter wreath décor
If there is a gap between your vase and the wreath, you can fill it with Easter décor. I used large Easter eggs, natural wood beads, and more feathers to decorate the base of my Spring coffee table centerpiece. Lastly, I placed some bunny tail grass over the top of the Easter eggs.
Step nine – Light the candle and enjoy!
Your spring coffee table centerpiece is finished! Now, all you need to do is light the candle and enjoy the flickering candlelight.
