When my husband and I first relocated to southern Germany from Britain, we had a hard time trying to find furniture which suited our style. I had given up my career in law to raise our children so money was tight and expensive furniture was out of the question for us.
That’s when I began to look for creative ways to furnish my home in the way I wanted without paying a fortune to do it. I love learning so my interests are constantly evolving and I’ll try my hand at anything that will help me achieve my goals.
Over the years I’ve learned that you don’t need to spend a fortune to create a beautiful home. A little creativity and elbow grease will go a long way toward helping you, transform your space into a unique and stylish home, brimming with personality.
If you’re fed up with drooling over the pages of home décor magazines and thinking that look is out of your league, I’m here to tell you “It’s totally not”.
If you’re prepared to roll up your sleeves and get a little dirty, I’ll show you how you can create a beautiful home without investing a tonne of money into it. If my style’s not your style that’s no problem. You can still use the same techniques to put your own stamp on the things you transform – after all, that’s what it’s all about.
Oh, and by the way, we don’t have any fancy tools around here so if you don’t either that’s OK we’ll get by – but if you do, do you mind if I borrow them – just kidding!
Here are some posts that will give you an idea of what’s possible – but really the sky’s your limit!
